School counselors foster the academic, social/emotional and career development of students throughout their academic careers. Our goal is to support students in reaching their full academic potential while enjoying a positive school experience. School counselors work with students, parents and fellow staff members to help students be successful in the classroom environment. Counseling services include classroom guidance lessons, brief individual sessions, small group sessions and crisis counseling. Counselors act as a liaison, providing information and resources with school- based support teams and outside agencies.
Classroom guidance lesson topics: Skills for school success, personal safety (Erin’s' Law: Please click here for the link.), bullying prevention, interpersonal and intrapersonal relationships, emotional regulation, college and career awareness, character development, goal setting, school transitions and more.
